Packaging for pet food
Pet food is one of the hardest barrier problems in dry goods. It combines fat oxidation with heavy fill weights and a shelf life of many months.
The preservation challenge
Kibble is high in fat and must stay palatable for a year or more, so the oxygen targets are among the strictest in our design grid. The packs are also large. Multi-kilogram fill weights need structures that carry the load, survive handling, and reclose cleanly over weeks of use.
How we engineer for it
Foil-based PET/ALU/PE laminates at heavy grammage deliver the near-zero transmission rates the shelf life requires, with the mechanical strength for large-format pouches. Structures are specified with the fill weight, drop performance and reclosure system in mind — not barrier alone.
